Event: Rallye Hessisches Bergland
Middle of november - changing weather 3-5°C Outer temperature

Vehicle: E36 318is
Driver: Tobias Saffrich
Co-Driver: Dennis Rehm
Tyre: VR3 SuperSoft - 225 45 17

The changing conditions made the decision which tyre we should use not easy. A lot of rain in the morning. partitial even snow on the higher area "Knüllwald-Stage", with the further day at early afternoon the track is getting dry until some parts are dry completely.

The VR3 raintyre was in price/performance a very good tyre. A lot of grip good signals by turn in or even good performance by breaking on wet track. Of course through the high profil and soft compound the tyre was a bit more spongy than the dry tyres. After a short time to get trust it was no problem and completely estimable.

Also on dry track at the end of the day the tyre could deliver good performance even its to dry for it. We are very satisfied!

                 Use in: Rallye
Team: Andreas Barth / Mario Haubst Vehicle: BMW e36 325i group G (stands for nearly stock class but also starts in group f sometimes for modified cars.)
Event: 30. ADAC MSC Osterrallye Zerf R 70 Condition: 25°C Airtemperature, dry, 61,5 km Overall length, 1,4km Gravel Class: NC2 (Gr. F(modified) up to 3000ccm) Paces: Overall 30. (from 65) | Class 3. (from 8)
Report: The first event with the extreme performance tyres we thought it would be the wrong compound for the event but we had no other choice. It was absolute dry conditions at mostly bumpy tarmac. With a lot of changing bigger and small streets. We thought the VR1 could be to soft and get destroyed by this conditions.
Even by this event the tyre show up with unexpected good and strong the tyre can handle that high temperature. Even by this conditions the tyre dont his job very well, of course in some situations the tyre was near his maximum and a bit over it. But until now we got so much trust in the tyre and could get the third place in our class. The tyre show up with very good grip and on the limit and maximum the tyre is absolutly manage able.
  Event: Löwenrallye Birkenfeld R35 Conditions: 7°C Airtemperature, dry-wet, partial snow, 32 km lenght overall, 1km gravel Class: NC7 (Gruppe G | Stock) Places: Overall 24. (von 87) | Class 4. (von 6)
Report: At morning from the rallye by the recce the track was partial very wet and also some snow was possible. Thats why we decided for the VR1. On first part of the rallye it very dry but on start to the second part of the rallye it began to rain and end in a really snowing. The track was very wet even here in mixing conditions the tyre was amazing and has convinced. Always good calculateable and also have a good grip in the wet. By this conditions we could drive some good times in top 20 overall on some stages.
Event: Hunsrück Junior Rallye R35 Conditions: 22°C Airtemperature, dry, 33 km length overall, 9,6km gravel Class: NC2 (Gr. F modified up to 3000ccm) Place: Overall 17. (von 108) | Class 3. (von 8)
Report: Before the rallye we was thinking a lot about our tyre choice, the extreme tyre has made such a good impression at the first to events so we was thinking about using it on a event where we have about 30% gravel part. And also here our trust in the VR1 was the right choice and the tyre was in gravel a lot better than for example the Yokohama A048, on tarmac the tyre show up like we know it good handle able and with a lot of grip. We want to tell you, that even in the hardes condition the tyre is very strong and reliable. Other compeitors had in the break big holes in there treadwear. The VR1 do not shows after this hard rally no bigger damage. Also we was able to beat three big Mitsubishi which compete against us normaly which was faster in earlier events.
Conclusion : The tyre is good handleable and has a lot of grip in dry (when not getting to hot.) also in wett conditions the turnin moment is better than other good known products, by some mixing conditions like gravel for me the first choice. Also the price performance is unbeatable.

Auf 7j15 sollte es kein Problem sein. Der Reifen bietet ein Mega Grip und lässt sich gut steuern, fast wie auf Schienen werde den Reifen wieder Kaufen sollte er verschlissen sein.
We drove the VR3 tyre on our Mini R53 on a hillclimb event, rim was a 8x15 rim, without helper like airbooster it would be difficult to get the small tyre on the wide rim but on 8x15 rim it should be no problem. The tyre gives you massivly grip and let you steer very precise. If the tyre is worn out i will buy another tyres.

Usage in group g (stock cars) only change are the springs the rest of the car is stock.
The tyres get temperature very fast. If you get about 20°C the tyres works. In practice the tyre get in his working temperature in a half round and is perfect for this type of sport.
By bigger about 2500m slaloms maybe its better to drive R9/R7 compounds.
In slalom the extreme tyres works very good and its compeitive with the Kumho tyres which are very often used here. From productions there are some marks on the sidewalls but they are only optical.
The tyres was driven about 14 events and on the front are about 2,5mm and rear only 0,5mm usage. So the tyre have a lot of lifetime.

The VR2 Semislick with R7(medium) now was tested and the results are surprisingly good that we will drive the tyres in future.
Driven was about 4000km (about 2485miles) but the tyres are still healthy for the kind of soft compound. The driveability of the tyres in wetness are still good for a semislick the tyres let be driven calculate able and the wheel response is very good.
Of course these semislicks has are a bit noisier than street tyres but you have it on most semislicks. The tyre was driven about 10 rounds on the Nordschleife before wrote this report with a little break in it. Until the driving there was no problems with temperature or with griplose. But you should think about it that the tyre need a bit of temperature to work perfectly. The sidewalls very strong so even with less camber there is no early worn out to see or the tyres getting to hot on the outside.
The pickup is also very good also when the tyres get pushed to the limits. The runtime of the tyre i would say is about 6000-10000km with sporty driving on daily use. Overall iam very happy with this tyre. Everybody can find here a very good tyre, against the Toyo R888 and other semis its a very good alternative and also the price is very impressive.

The organisation did a good job keep the streets clear, close before the start we thought maybe we took the wrong decision with the VR1 W5 but than direct after the rally started, it begun to rain. The tyres worked good, but now with this changed conditions the VR1 W3 would be the better alternativ.
Anyway we couldnt change tyre and the results are very good.
